About The Author

A distinguished constitutional expert, advisor and advocate, Dr Subhash Kashyap is a well-known author and scholar. He has held some of the highest posts in India and abroad. Former Secretary-General of Lok Sabha, he has received many national and international honours and awards including Padma Bhushan and Doctor of Laws (LL D). Currently, he is Honorary Professor at the Centre for Policy Research and President of the Indian National Bar Association (INBA) and Rashtriya Jagriti Sansthan (RJS). Apart from his three-Volume treatise on Constitutional Law and the Six volumes of History of Parliament, his recent works include: State of the Nation: Democracy, Governance and Parliament and We, the People and Our Constitution.
