About the Author
Born in Bombay in 1937, Prafull Goradia is a doyen of the tea industry, who quit a comfortable existence to plunge into the uncertain world of politics, his real passion. Elected to the Rajya Sabha in 1998 from the Bharatiya Janata Party, his interventions in many important matters, his parliamentary speeches on contemporary issues and participation in debates and contributions to policy-making were significant. Goradia has penned innumerable articles on global and national issues and several books: Profiles of Tea, Saga of Indian Tea, The Saffron Book, Hindu Masjids, Muslim League’s Unfinished Agenda, Anti-Hindus, Fly me to the Moon, Krishna Rajya, Saffron Awakening, Had Patel been Prime Minister, Jinnah Helped Hindus and Population Exchange. His works help contemporary readers view modern India’s political journey wearing an informed lens. He presides over The Indian School in Delhi, reputed for offering modern education with traditional Indian ethos.
